Meet the Team

Jayne Cormie

 

Jayne is the Founder and Managing Director of The Thinking Business. Her career spans more than 20 years. She started her career in corporate sales and marketing working for companies including United Biscuits, Terry's of York, Heinz and Rank Hovis McDougall.

 

Since starting The Thinking Business in 2000, Jayne has focused her career on growing the business and helping her clients achieve success through creativity and innovation.

Jayne's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Education (Honours) degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Henley Management College.

She is also a graduate of the Disney Institute in Creativity and Innovation.

 

Jayne is licensed by Tony Buzan to provide training in the world famous Mind Mapping® technique, speed reading, memory skills and accelerated learning. She is also an accredited consultant of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI).

Our team consists of a dynamic group of consultants and trainers, all highly qualified with specialist knowledge and skills. They all have backgrounds in corporate business for companies including The Walt Disney Company and Buena Vista.


We assign our consultants and trainers to the client assignments which reflect their personal expertise and experience.  

 

Stuart Scott - de Bono Master Trainer

Stuart Scott is one of only 15 trainers internationally who have been appointed Master Trainer status in Dr Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats®, Lateral Thinking and Direct Attention Thinking Tools™.

 

Stuart was awarded his De Bono certification in Training during the year 2000 and was instrumental in teaching Dr de Bono’s work to unemployed people in the UK as part of the Government’s New Deal and Gateway to Work programmes.

 

In December 2002 he was awarded the coveted De Bono Master Trainer in recognition of the outstanding work he has done in the field of training and development of Dr Edward de Bono’s Thinking Skills and Techniques. In 2005 he was the first globally appointed Facilitator of Edwrad de Bono’s products.

Stuart has worked extensively with all three sectors throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world including British Telecom, the NHS, Microsoft, Unison, the UK Medical And Drugs Advisory Board, Wrigley, The Civil Service, Major Banks and several leading charity and other commercial organizations.


Specialising in Creativity, Thinking Skills (including Lateral Thinking), and Innovation, Stuart's unique style and sense of humor provides a great balance of knowledge, theory, light hearted discussion, exercises and fun. Not to be missed!

 

Stuart is a Consultant Trainer for The Thinking Business and he facilitates the Six Thinking Hats® and Lateral Thinking training courses.

 

 

Beverlie Wilkinson - Associate Trainer

 

 

Beverlie Wilkinson is a highly experienced training consultant and has been an associate trainer for The Thinking Business for over three years.

 

Beverlie is fully accredited by The Thinking Business to deliver our training courses in the areas of Creative Thinking and Team Thinking skills. She is highly regarded by our clients and has delivered successful courses for Centrica, BAT and NMS Communications. She is renowned for her passion for creativity and her ability to inspire others with her energy and humour.   

 

Beverlie was previously an in-house consultant and trainer working in Management and Personal Development for The Walt Disney Company Limited.

 

An important aspect of her work is constantly updating her own learning and development.  She is Myers Briggs Type Indicator accredited and is CIPD (Chartered Institute Personnel Development) qualified.
